About Course

This is the Web Development Certification Program, also known as the NIELIT Certified Web Developer (Upskilling) course. It is a key component of the government’s Employability Enhancement and Livelihood Training Program (EELTP). This is a 210-hour, NSQF Level-3 certified course focused on providing free, job-oriented training with a strong emphasis on practical skill enhancement. The goal is to equip students with the necessary skills to build modern, responsive websites and begin a career in web development.

What Will You Learn?

  • This program covers the essential technologies for both front-end and back-end web development, ensuring you have a well-rounded skill set.
  • Front-End Development: You will learn to build the structure of websites with HTML5 , style them visually with CSS , and add interactivity and responsiveness using JavaScript and the Bootstrap framework.
  • Back-End Development: You will learn server-side programming with PHP, including how to create scripts and integrate them with HTML to build dynamic web applications.
  • Database Management: The course covers how to connect your website to a MySQL database, allowing you to create data-driven applications.
  • Server Environment: You will get a fundamental understanding of the Linux Operating System, a common environment for hosting websites.
  • Project Work: The program concludes with a 30-hour project where you will develop a simple website from scratch, applying all the techniques you have learned.

Module 1: Introduction to the Internet & Web Design
This foundational module introduces the basic concepts of how the internet and websites function.

Module 2: HTML5
Students will learn to structure content for the web using the latest version of HyperText Markup Language.

Module 4: JavaScript
Students will learn the fundamentals of JavaScript, the programming language that brings interactivity to websites.

Module 5: Bootstrap
This module introduces Bootstrap, a popular framework for building responsive, mobile-first websites quickly.

Module 6: Linux Introduction
This module provides a basic understanding of the Linux operating system, a common environment for web servers.

Module 7: Server-Side Programming with PHP
Students will dive into back-end development using PHP, a powerful server-side scripting language.

Module 8: Database Connectivity with PHP & MySQL
This module focuses on connecting a website to a database, allowing for the storage and retrieval of data.

Module 9: Final Project
In this final capstone module, students will apply all their learned skills to build a complete website.
